Oak-Tree Tag Rugby Tournament 2026

Pupils from across the Oak-Tree Group of Schools recently came together for the annual U11 Tag Rugby Tournament at Eaton Manor RFC, enjoying an exciting afternoon of sport, teamwork and friendly competition. Mixed teams of Year 5 and Year 6 boys and girls represented their schools in both A and B competitions.

Although the weather was cold, grey and drizzly, it did little to dampen the energy on the pitches. The tournament was packed with fantastic tries, quick footwork, skilful tagging and determined defending. Every team played with enthusiasm and resilience, supporting one another and showing excellent sportsmanship throughout.

The event was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to collaborate, build confidence and strengthen friendships across the Oak-Tree schools. Laughter, encouragement and team spirit were evident all afternoon, making it an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone involved.

A big thank you goes to Mr Paine and Mrs Taylor for organising the tournament, and to all the parents who braved the weather to come along and cheer on the teams.
